After much debate and discussion it has been agreed that our club should open up our river Tamar beats for Grayling fishing throughout the winter. That is , from the end of the trout season until the 15 Th. of March 2018.
Your committee requests that you return all fish caught and therefore use barbless hooks ( or flattened barbs ).Do not wade through any Redds that may be present and do not wade if it is un-necessary. Be aware of the state of the river which during the winter months can become swollen and fast flowing. Be safety conscious at all times. Only fly fishing is to be allowed and anyone intentionally killing a fish, any fish, will lose their membership of the LAA . This additional fishing opportunity is for members only and will not be available to Day Ticket holders. A catch return is required via this web site.
This initiative will be reviewed in the spring when, if proven viable, it will be made available during the winter of 2018/19. Enjoy your fishing!

The only beats open for winter Grayling are the main river Tamar beats so Beat 1, Bamham, Beat 3 Netherbridge and Beat 6 Druxton and Boyton. All other tributary beat seasons remain as previous years.
